EMPACT- SPC VISION
To be a health care provider nationally recognized for its pursuit of excellence and innovation in the application of systems theory to the disciplines of family systems therapy, suicide prevention, crisis/trauma services, community development, organizational management, and systems training.

EMPACT- SPC  PHILOSOPHY
EMPACT-SPC believes in the intrinsic value and goodness of the individual, family and the community. We affirm the power of health families and communities as the foundation of positive change. Behavioral health and wellness are a function of healthy relationships in families and communities.

EMPACT's President and CEO Emeritus
Ilene L. Dode, Ph.D., C.P.C., founded the Suicide Prevention Center, Inc. EMPACT-SPC in 1987 and has served as its President/CEO for fifteen years. Dr. Dode has dedicated 25 years to serving in various capacities within community, non-profit behavioral health agencies. She is recognized as an advocate for children and families. She was one of the authors of the 1988 Children's Mental Health bill that resulted in the beginning of mental health services for children and their families in Arizona.

Dr. Dode holds both a Master degree and a Ph.D. from Arizona State University. She devoted several years to teaching as a Faculty Associate for the Counseling Psychology Department at Arizona State University. She served on the Counselor Credentialing Committee and the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners.

Dr. Dode has served on many boards and committees throughout her career. Twenty-two years have been committed to a Foster Care Review Board. She currently chairs the Maricopa County Suicide sub-committee of the Child Fatality Review Team. C
urrent memberships include the American Association of Suicidology, the Arizona Council of Human Service Providers, the Arizona Suicide Prevention Coalition and the Children’s Committee of the Arizona Planning Council. Dr. Dode is the Phoenix member of the National Institute on Drug Abuse Community Epidemiology Work Group.
